Newest Kirin is Completed and the Stablemate Appys Get Color:

The Kirin is done and the new stablemates are getting color.  I have completed so far one of the appys. The little seal bay blnaket and the leopard is almost complete.  The chestnut blanket one is still half done.

And the newest Kirin filly is complete.  So cute!

New Kirin's First Layer of Paint:

Lookin cute.  She's got her first layer of paint.  Well, actually it's been several layers but it's the first stopping point.  I'll pick it back up tomorrow.  I also primed and base coated in white three more stablemate thoroughbred CM's, but since it's just the model and it's just solid white right now, no need for pictures.  I'll post some pictures of their first base coat of color tomorrow.

I also did a little more to the Japanese chins but since it's so close to complete, I'll just antique it tomorrow and take some pictures of that then.  But here's the kirin so far.

Japanese Chin Statue and Kirin gets base coat:

An update on the little ceramic Japanese Chin adult and pup statue.  They were going to be Pekingese, but I decided to do them like Japanese Chins.  The adult is a tril color or black n tan and white, and the puppy is a lemon and white.

Next, the Kirin has got her first base coat in white.

New Kirin Filly, Pegasus, and a Suffolk Punch...(I hope):

Here she is.  A third Kirin. This is a new little filly Kirin and she's scratching her little beard.  I like her so far.  She's gonna be just as cute as the first set.

Now I'm doing a Pegasus model.  I was doing this one for myself but I don't know.  I'm planning to affix a eye-ring into the model between the wings on the back so he can be hung from the ceiling or from a stand.  I wanted to have him in my bedroom or living room hainging from the ceiling flying.

Now, I'm doing a Suffolk Punch out of this classic sized drafter model shire.  I hope.  I've got to shorten the front leg I know and it's just got a lot more work to be done to it.  I want it to be a heavier short legged draft breed and I've wanted to do an old-school Suffolk Punch for a while.

I've got a lot of sculpt work to do to the legs and feet as well. I'm still just doing the first stages of body bulking.  



Male Kirin Complete:

I think he's as cute as the first one. 

I'm also working on a little Schleich Turkey.  I'm painting it to be a Royal Palm breed.  He's got a lot more work to go though.  I just started the base coloring.
