Hackney, ASB Stablemate, "Capricorn" Updates:

Well, the Hackney is primed, sanded, and ready for paint.  So excited.

And the ASB Stablemate is completed.  He'll be in Ebay tonight, I think.

And here is "Capricorn" with his rock base painted.

Hackney Updates:

He's ready for sanding and priming.  I LOVE him!  He's going to be a deep mahogany bay with a large star and two socks I think.  That's what I'm picturing.

I also have the little ASB stablemate deep in the painting phase.
He's cute too.  I didn't think I'd do him this color but I have done so many plain chestnut sorrel, and palomino Saddlebreds I just wanted to be a little more colorful this go around.

Getting Things Underway:

OK,  I've got new update pictures of the Hackney, the Appaloosa mare, and the Foal.

First up.,

I added some apoxie (I'm almost out),  to the shoulder front legs and a bit on the neck. He's going to have massive muscle tone.

Oh, and I almost forgot.  I do have a little American Saddlebred Stablemate that I added some more apoxie to.  I had a few images of this little guy a while ago I think.  You'll have to check the labels for older posts with him.  but here he is with a mane and tail and more work on his neck.  I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the length of his neck yet.  I may need to shorten it a hair. I don't know.  Sometimes I look at it and it seems ok, and other angles it looks a hair too long. I don't know.

Here is the Appaloosa mare and the little foal. Finally getting some color.

Silver Cloud's First Show and More Projects:

Well the charity auction's painting is signed sealed and delivered, and I guess bid on and won.  lol
Now on to other things.  I've been sick lately.  I don't know what's going on.  I can't breath.  I was working in the yard two weeks ago and burning some brush and I know I was both handling AND burning (like an idiot) Poison Ivy and Virginia Creeper (though they say Virginia Creeper is non toxic), we have it all over everything and every single time I handle it, I break out horribly.  Well, I was burning a lot of brush and limbs and some of those toxic and nontoxic vines, and I've got the lungs right now of someone with the flu or something.  Just can't get any air. Or it feels like the air is so humid I can't get any oxygen out of the air I'm taking in.  I've been popping Benydril like Tic Tacs so hopefully it's nothing more complicated and just an allergic reaction that's taking a while to clear up.  I just have constant shortness of breath, but I'm trying not to scare myself.  Anyway, back to art projects.  I'm working on a new Appaloosa out of this time a Trakehner Breyer.

I've also started a new fantasy creature I'm excited about out of a Breyer Lonesome Glory model.  It's a creature that I forgot the official name of but it's a cross between a horse and a goat. It's gonna be amazing when it's done and so I'll document the progress on here.

I'm working on a ASB stablemate that's going to be a more refined saddlebred parked out.  It's going through some more elegant changes.

And finally "Silver Cloud" is going by way of a proxy to his first show on May 31st I think is when it is.  This is so exciting. I so wish he could go to Breyerfest this year but I may not get him there. If there is someone who is going to Breyerfest and have good references for proxy showing and would be willing to take him, email me or just post here. I would love to have him go.  I've had another horse I've done go to Breyerfest but it wasn't under my name.  He was shown while owned by someone else so I've never had one of my own models go to too many shows.  I've made him a turquoise and silver studded black leather show halter and he's now got metal horseshoes on.

"Widowmaker's Big Java " for sale in MH$P:

I don't know if anyone remembers "Widowmaker's Big Java" from my site but he's a big seal bay ASB i did a while back, and at one point he was owned by the same person who owned another ASB I made named "Madison's All The Diamonds".  Two successfull show models.  Java even took home Reserve Champion Gaited Horse.  Anyway, someone who either once owned him or wanted to own him contacted me a while ago, and I don't remember who it was.  Anyway, Java is now listed for sale in MH$P. I just saw him listed last night. Here's Java's ad
I don't know if he's still LSQ now though.  He was at one time but that was a couple years ago.  They also
have Antonia for sale also.  That was a ruffian CM I did with a Wintersong tail and Esprit Mane.  Turned out really pretty.
Here's a picture of Java and Madison.

"Prom King" is almost complete. TWH Stallion gets more color.

The Saddlebred Stallion "Prom King" is almost finished.  His mane and tail need to be shaded down and antiqued but he's close.  I was going to do him as a pinto Saddlebred but it just didn't feel wirte after getting his chestnut coat done.
Annnnnd.  I got my new (used) digital camera in the mail yesterday, so I got newer clearer pictures. I don't know if I'll give him any socks or not.  I'll have to see.

The Tennessee Walker twin is coming along better.

He's still got a ways to go yet.

Saddlebred and TWH get more color:

The TWH has his paint markings started.  The digital camera is on it's last legs.  The poor thing.  I have another used yet new to me digital camera arriving fresh from Ebay within days.  I hope that one works.  The seller seemed to have really good feedback. The last camera I bought actually was the second last one.  The first of the two last ones was defective from the second I got it and the seller knew it.  They just tried to hustle a buyer into buying their broken camera.  They refunded my money on it too.  And the stench of it.....the jerk went ahead and relisted it, and sold it again to someone else the second they got it back from me.....the nerve of some people's children, as my mom would say.
Anyway, the bright nuclear looking mark is the glare white coloring seems to be giving my camera nowadays.  The mane is looking really natural.

The Saddlebred stallion "Prom King" is getting richer and darker.

Still debating now on whether to even do him as a pinto saddlebred.I'm thinking about deep almost liver chestnut.  I do wannt do his face very dark with a flaxon mane and tail but whether to take the tail white and do some crazy paint markings I don't know now. I don't know.  I'll see what he just becomes.
