Cremello gets some color and the new Nightmare is getting closer:

The Cremello TWH is getting his color though the camera had some trouble capturing it. lol  His eyes are not as pink in the inside of the lids as they seem, and his nose isn't that hot pink either.  But it's an indication of his coloration. His mane was still wet when I snapped the pics. He's got a ways to go yet.

Also the "Walking Dead" Nightmare Series horse is getting further along. He's got a mane now, and I decided to shave down his tail to a more relaxed position because he looked too much like a saddlebred with it raised that way. Since he's missing the TWH body bulking up with the sunken in dead looking shape, his breed isn't as obvious, so I have to accent the TWH characteristics more, like not giving him a notoriously saddlebred raised tail set.

New TWH has ribbons now:

The new Walker has some ribbons.  I wasn't sure I would even put ribbons on this guy but went ahead anyway. He's been buffed down now after the first priming layer with steel wool. And now he's ready for paint.  I was thinking of doing him as a pale palomino or a buttermilk Buckskin, but now I think I'm seeing him as a cremello stallion.  So cremello he will be.

Slightly new pose for a new TWH:

I'm working on this stallion that is going to be a slightly different pose that my normal walkers are in. This guy's more stretched out in his park position. He's got his front legs more stretched and not as straight.  I've got a bucnh of walker reference photos of walkers like this and so I'm tackling this pose.  I did one somwwhat like this before. "Roadhouse" was more straight facing forward but he was the closest I've ever come to this extended park.
Here's a reference I went by.
And here's the model.

New dancing Marwari Update:

Here's the new dancing Marwari update.  I did him l,ike this photo.
I still have a lot of antiquing to do and I haven't finished the tail yet.  The tail's just got the base color on it. I'll finish him up tonight and find a name for him.

Show News!:

AWSOME NEWS!
I got some news on three of my past horses.  According to the owner of LS Phantom Of The Opera, and Allens Tuxedo Joe, they did really well at the Bay State Live show.
Tuxedo Joe took 3rd Place Breed, and 4th Place Workmanship, while Phantom Of The Opera took 2nd Place Breed and Nan'd.  I also found out that Prom King, (owned by someone else) took 1st Place Workmanship and Champion in Custom Workmanship in Gaited Breeds, and Nan'd also.
Thanks...Brenda for sharing the pictures of everyone with their ribbons and cards.

Progress on the "Walking Dead" and Purple Power Update:

First up, new progress shots of "The Walking Dead"  The new Nightmare horse for this Halloween.

And next up, a Purple Power Update.  I went down to look at the horse soaking in the Purple Power bath the same time tonight as yesterday when I first put him in to soak and he had a layer of black slime all over him where the paint layer had bubbled up and slid off of him leaving a fresh new layer of paint that appears a bit more faded.  You can see in the second picture the reminents of the slime layer on his side.

Purple Power...Let's see if it works:

Bought some Purple Power finally.  Got the big jug at Advance Auto. It came to a total of $14.00 and change with tax.  I got a container with a lid at Walmart and dumped all the Purple stuff in, then added an old Breyer body I had that needed stripping.  Let's see.

I left the horse in there for about an hour and a half or more and took this next picture.  You can see the side that was down in the purple stuff has now got bubbled up paint that feels like slime all over the areas that were submerged.  The horse floats unfortunately and I didn't have anything to weight it down with so I'm just going to count the areas that stayed in the liquid.  It works pretty good so far, and one good thing is the purple power feels really nice on your hands, though I wouldn't recommend keeping your hands in it for too long. It's strong stuff.  It feels like mild slick soapy fluid that smells pleasant.  At least I thought so anyway. Anything is better than the smell of nail polish remover.  I'll come back tomorrow and see what the horse looks like.
But here it is after a short time.
