Foal, Appaloosa Mare, New Hackney, All New Stuff:

Well, I changed the Peter Stone ASB into a Hackney.  So far.  This is one of the references I'm going by for the pose except I want his head up higher, but i'll see how it looks once I fill in more sculpting. I may tuck his head some but I don't know.  He's going to have his mane braided, but his tail will be cut in a bob though. I've got to replace all the shoulder muscles and do a lot of body work yet. 

The next one is the foal Primes sanded and ready for paint now. 

Now the Equine Goat animal.  Even though I had him primed. It helped to see little flaws and things that need some filler and some sculpting details added.  So I've added some little bits of sculpting here and there.  Now, he's ready for his final prime coat and it's on to paint. 

The appaloosa mare has finally got her primer on and a little bit of touch up work in some spots with some apoxie.  She'll get a final sanding, buffed out, then a final prime coat and she's ready for paint.

I have to let him go before I can show him.  :(     My little dog Cricket had an unexpected vet bill last week (pinched nerve in her neck) and my home owner's insurance for the year is due again in a couple of months.  Story of my life.

Appaloosa Ready for Priming and New Stuff:

So the appaloosa mare is ready for sanding and priming.  She's got a mane and tail and forelocks and she just looks neat.

(I think anyway)

Ok here's the Peter Stone Saddlebred I was doing.  BUT I've decided not to do it as a filly saddlebred any more.  This is going to be more of a resculpt now.  I'm going to do a Hackney Stallion.  And right after I sanded his junk off too.  (screams) So, I've got to put that back now. And I've got to shorten the tail some more.  I'm repositioning the legs and giving him a new neck and well, it's gonna be fun. I don't have enough apoxie now, so I will have to get some more before I can do everything I need to do to complete him. 

I am also doing a foal.  I didn't change a lot to this little guy because I like him.  I wanted to flip the tail up though so I did that. He's going to be shedding his coat and kind of changing colors.  Like a foal that's molting their baby fur out and exposing the adult color underneath.  I wanna do that.  Like an Arabian foal that's been shaved down to expose the true color but molting instead. I don't know whether to go bay or chestnut.  

Appaloosa Mare Gets a Mane:

Ok,  she's got a mane now.  Well, Most of a mane.  I was working on another model so much that the apoxie I mixed up started getting stiff on me and it's harder to work with when it gets like that, so I have to just either use it up real quick for body filler or flatten it out and use it for a base for something. Which i did.  I have a Peter Stone American Saddlebred that I'm doing into a young filly Saddlebred and she's losing her long tail for a shorter one, so she's going to need a base.  I'll have to get some shots of her soon also.  Not too much sculpting going on with her as of right yet.  

Here's the Appaloosa mare nearing completion.  I've already done a rough sand on her also. 

Also, I'm thinking I'm going to put Silver Cloud up on MH$P for $450.00  Buy It Now with $100.00 monthly  time payments to approved buyers.   

New Appaloosa Mare:

Ok,  new appaloosa mare gets new feet!  I gave her new sculpted feet because she looks more natural with a slightly larger foot.  I don't know. The Trakehner's hooves aren't exactly cat-like.  Not like that Secretariet mold is.  All neck.  No head and no feet! lol  (which reminds me, I have one of those here I need to do something with and I just don't wanna!)  But anyway,

Here is the appaloosa mare with her new feet.  next stop.  Mane and forelocks!

I'm thinking of some reference pictures to paint this lady by.

But I really think I'm going by the top picture.  That's the one I've been looking at before I started this custom.  I'll see if I feel the same way once she's ready for paint.  Sometimes it changes.
